Nice and quite quiet external hard drive with Firewire 400/800 & USB 2.0. Only the first one I got nearly two years ago was keeping loud high pitch noise. Luckily the store took it back and gave me a new one. Now the second one fried itself up but I was able to get the data out by disassembling the case and taking out the drive.

After this I googled about this problem and found lots of similar faults. One guy posted a guide for opening the case to his blog (link below) and at the moment there is 288 replies, mostly from people with similar problems.

It seems to be an overheating issue - product not recommended.

Wow, you are selling that. Well, I'm thinking if I could get it as soon as possible. I kinda need it for some working on my technology cv writing piece. What I am after here is the price, you know, if I could afford it right away. Nevertheless, it is quite amazing.
