Works out-of-the-box with iMovie 7 and later. If usin DVD-RW, the disc must be formatted to VIDEO and finalized before iMovie recognizes it.
A DVD camcorder is not so good choice today, as there are cameras with large internal memory that can record longer and transfer files faster to the computer.
